Important Information Regarding End of Support for Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Outlook 2003 and Internet Explorer Versions 6 and 7 for Oracle CRM On Demand.
In an effort to maintain the highest level of quality, performance, and security while remaining technologically current with the latest platforms and internet standards, Oracle will be entering the End-of-Support phase with respect to supporting the following Microsoft products on Oracle CRM On Demand:
Microsoft Windows XP;
Microsoft Office 2003;
Microsoft Outlook 2003; and
- Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7 (collectively the “Unsupported Software”).
As you may know, peak performance of Oracle CRM On Demand requires certain system requirements that may change as products are upgraded by Microsoft. For example, as Microsoft rolls out new versions of its software, it often terminates its internal support of previous versions. If you, as the customer, do not have the most recent versions of the applicable Microsoft software, your use of Oracle CRM On Demand may be significantly inhibited. Oracle will not be obligated to repair any reported Oracle CRM On Demand product defects determined to be directly related to outdated technology or Unsupported Software. This is primarily because Microsoft will likely refuse to implement any patch or upgrade to any of the Unsupported Software that would remedy the applicable problem with Oracle CRM On Demand. The easiest solution for this situation is to ensure that you are current with your upgrades of Microsoft Windows, Office, Outlook and Internet Explorer and in compliance with the system requirements contained above.
Consistent with Oracle standards, and to minimize disruption to customers, during its phase out, Oracle will continue to provide best efforts to support customers on the Unsupported Software. Once the customer is upgraded to Oracle CRM On Demand Release 26, support for Oracle CRM On Demand running on the Unsupported Software will terminate in full as full functionality will directly depend on the customer meeting the minimum system requirements set forth above.
A focus on supporting modern technology allows Oracle to deliver more new functionality for our Oracle CRM On Demand customers. As the industry moves away from this older technology, we anticipate minimal impact to our customers as the vast majority have already embraced newer browsers and operating systems. We will make every effort to make your current or future upgrade to Oracle CRM On Demand Release 26 as seamless as possible. Thank you for your continued business.
